City of Playford Tennis International
Tennis champions of the future are returning to Playford with international men’s and women’s tennis hitting off from 28 October to 3 November 2019. The tournament is part of the Australian Pro Tour Calendar and Playford Tennis Centre will host its third Men’s Challenger and Women’s ITF Futures tournaments, with players competing for $160,000 in sponsors’ prize money. A lead-in for those preparing to compete in Australia’s summer of Tennis, this free event is a great opportunity for everyone to witness some great tennis and to be inspired by sporting brilliance.
Free Kids Zone / ANZ Hot Shots
Aside from the on-court action, there’s fun for everyone with the free Kids Zone, offering fun activities for the whole family and our young future tennis superstars. Entry and participation in the Kids Zone is free and open to everyone, so bring the kids along to enjoy a variety of fun filled activities.
- Tennis SA Inflatables from Friday 1 Nov, 9am – 11am will provide the kids with an active way to test their tennis serve speed and receive on-the-spot tips by professional mentors and coaches.
- Hot shots Come and Try with Accredited Coaches is a great way to learn some skills.
- Racquets and balls are supplied or you can bring your own.
- Face painter.
- Balloon twister handing out tennis themed creations.
- Jumpy Castle for hours of ultimate jumping fun.
Experience a carnival delight during our Twilight Session – Friday 1 November
Come along after work or bring the kids after school to watch players serving it up for a place in the semi-finals. Matches start from 4.00 pm – we also have plenty of free family attractions.
- Free community barbeque, come and have a snag on us!
- Music & Entertainment to liven the atmosphere in between matches.
- Jumping castle and other inflatables.
