Playford Tennis Centre has a Hot Shots League perfectly suited for any level!
Hot Shots Leagues are the perfect compliment to ANZ Hot Shots coaching. Our Hot Shots Leagues provide children the perfect opportunity to utilise the skills they have learned in their ANZ Hot Shots coaching programs in a fun, controlled match-play environment without the pressures sometimes associated with fixtures competition.
Each week children participate in a variety of different match-play formats designed to teach them not only how to hit a forehand or backhand but how to “play” the game. Children will learn to umpire, score, call their lines and a variety of different skills essential to playing tennis all while under the supervision of our professional team of coaches.
Hot Shots League – session info.
The Hot Shots League allows players to compete in the match play format however our coaching staff provides the required support in order for them to succeed. The objective of the league is to introduce the students to match play in a fun environment. With the objective to represent the club and compete at Tennis Australia’s JDS (entry level) event. The session will be designed to play matches but support from the coaches will be provided in the areas of :
- How to keep score
- Match strategy
- Keep the ball in play and working out the opponent.
- Sportsmanship
- Overall match development of the player.
