Junior Tennis Program at Playford Tennis.

Playford Tennis Centre has a comprehensive junior/kids tennis lessons program that caters to young players of all ages and skill levels.  At each stage, players receive extensive direction and support from our expert coaching staff.

Junior coaching is available for players aged 3 to 17 years and provides a great opportunity for them to develop their tennis and interpersonal skills in a fun and interactive group environment. All of the junior programs at the Playford Tennis Centre are part of the Tennis Australia Hot Shots Program which uses modified courts & equipment to help kids have more success in the game right from the word go.

As players improve they progress through various levels in which a combination of different ball compression, court, net and racquet sizes will make tennis easier to learn and play. Private and Shared Private Lessons are also available for players wanting to fast-track their improvement.

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots (INTRODUCTION STAGE)

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots is based on a “learning-through-play” philosophy, which means that playing the game of tennis is the central feature of each session. Smaller courts, racquets and softer tennis balls makes it possible to develop children’s skills faster, while the Red, Orange and Green stages offer a clear pathway.

Blue Ball Hot Shots (3-4 years)

Blue Hot Shots is ideal for children between the ages of 3 and 5. Our Blue Ball program is a launch pad stage and helps to familiarise children with the size and bounce of a Red Hot Shots court and ball while focusing heavily on improving their fundamental and perceptual motor skills. These skills are essential as children begin to move into Red Hot Shots and beyond.

TennisGear offers a variety of Red Hot Shots programs throughout the week. There is no minimum playing standard required to become involved in TennisGear’s Red Ball Hot Shots lessons! We encourage all players to get involved and take part in this awesome game. As player’s progress and improve their games they will start to achieve the playing standards required to move up through the classes and levels right up to our squads.

By week 8 of the term players will take part in our rally awards day which will measure their progress in the following areas: Rally, Serve, Come to the Net, Score and Compete. This will give them the opportunity to progress into the next level of Orange Ball classes.
